Choosing a guitar! Which pickups are better?
I'm going to buy one of the following 2 guitars. The only main difference I can see is the pickups. The first has the 6 round magnets for each string, and the second has the flat plate things. I've been playing for 2 years, but I've only owned two guitars, and I don't know much of the technicals.

Yes, I know I could just switch out pickups if I don't like them, but I just want to know which guitar has better ones coming with it. And just by looking at the guitars, it's pretty obvious I like to play metal, keep that in mind.

The pickups are actually quite similar. Both have Dean designed humbucking pickups. There may be some difference between the two pickups. You would have to play it to hear the difference in tone if any.
The first one (you link is bad) does not have 6 magnets. That is an uncoverd humbucking pickup. What you see are the 6 poles, one for each string. The poles may be individually adjustable so you can fine tune the sound from each string. But not all uncovered humbuckers have adjustable poles, yet look pretty much the same.
Some humbucking pickups made like this have a cover (normally gold colored, chrome or black) over the pickup. The poles may be exposed through the cover. But on some the poles are covered. That is cosmetic. Not affecting the sound
Other style of humbucking pickup does not use individiual poles, but rathar have 2 rails that run acroos the pickup under the strings. Serves the same purpose as the polies. Usually have a different tone. This style is not adjustable for each string.
Back to these guitars. I don't see a lot of different other than the looks. You would have to try them to see if there is much variance in the tone of the guitars.
