B.C. Rich Bronze Series Warlock Electric Guitar any good for beginners?
i am a beginner guitarist. i have played acoustic for a year, know the basic chords, know how to play riffs, and going to switch to electric guitar. i am going to mainly play music like greenday, guitar hero III, dragonforce, punk, metal, death metal, screemo. is the B.C. Rich Bronze Series Warlock Electric Guitar good for me? if not, what other suggestions do you have for a guitar. it should have a nice shape, not strat shape, 6 string, rightie, under $200. please help.
The B. C. Rich Warlock is a rather efficient guitar for players of all levels. This was the second guitar I bought, purely for the design, and have come to love it for its tone and ease of playing. The frets aren't too close or too far apart, which makes fingering chords relatively pain-free. The guitar also has two full octaves, which is perfect for playing rhythm or screaming solos. The pickups on the Bronze series aren't too shabby either, and do a great job of catching all tone ranges in addition to cutting hum- which is what humbuckers are supposed to do.
More important than these features however, is what styles of music the guitar is best adapted to. B. C. Rich in general is preferred by metal artists, as well as adventurous punk musicians. Based on what types of music you are interested in playing, I'd say this guitar model is right on!
Perhaps one of the best decisions the B. C. Rich company has made is to release almost every guitar in two series- one series is around $200 and more affordable for beginning to intermediate players, and the other series is for advanced to expert players with a price tag of around $1500. If you really look around, there are many great beginner kits with a Bronze series Warlock, gig bag, cord, strap, picks, book, and sometimes an amp. Be careful with these kits, however, as many of the guitars in them only contain one pickup when you really want two.
